Day 2: Bannay to Orleans
140kms (plus a bit more for bike repair assistance)
A long and eventful day. A couple of punctures needing repaired on Sascha's bike but the unfortunate event of the day was one of our team, Jorge, falling off his bike. Thankfully some kind locals were quick to see what had happened and alerted the rest of our team to the accident. After some medical attention and some first aid administered by Colin we are pleased to let everyone know Jorge is ok although at least for the next couple of days will be sitting out and taking some rest. We have decided that as an act of kindness we'll need to chip in and buy some stabilisers for Jorge's bike!
For the remaining three of the team we continued and arrived in Orleans at 8pm.

Thanks to all for your continued donations and support. It is much appreciated.

Hello All

Our fund raising is at £2609 so many thanks to everyone who has helped to bring us this far. The team arrived safe and well in Nevers this evening after a very long day of driving without air conditioning in the car and the outside temperatures being around 37c!

Tomorrows route takes us from Nevers to Bannay which is around 5kms from the Sancerre wine region with our route taking around 77kms.
